- Winter is coming fast! I can’t believe how cold it got this weekend. There are less than six weeks left until Christmas. It is so important that we give to others in this time. Be The Church.
- Friday Night was Movie Night at my son’s school. Kung Fu Panda was being shown in the cafeteria/gym. The line that still gets me is this one:
Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it is Present.
- Good posts this week from Mark about Purple Cows at evotional.com and from Tony about Why Churches Should Stop Marketing at TonyMorganLive.com. Two different outlooks but Church Identity is at the core of both posts.
- I am super excited about the launch of New Spring’s Internet Campus. I’ve been asked for feedback as a “power user” for the on demand video services as the Internet Campus goes live, so I’m really stoked about that. Perry and the guys are really chasing after Jesus and I would love to help their efforts out any way I can.
- Christine and I enjoyed an incredible Saturday Date Night with Jim Brickman at the Weinberg Center. Amazing show. My take away after seeing this incredible pianist: Do what you were born to do.
- As a result of listening to ALL of the Naked Faith podcasts (especially the Vanishing Faith series) with Josh Riebock, I looked up this clip of Paul Potts from Britain’s Got Talent. I was in tears after hearing Paul’s amazing voice. Take away, yet again: Do what you were born to do.
- This week is American Education Week so I get to spend some time at my son’s school to help celebrate. He was so stoked that I was coming today. Cool points for me!
- “Yes, Mrs Librarian, I know Velvet Elvis is now overdue, but Rob Bell and I are still trying to reconcile some really difficult thoughts and due to the economy, I can’t afford my own copy. I will get it to you soon though. Promise.”
- I need to blog more…
