Before I left the office yesterday, I was able to download Perry Noble’s latest session on Hope at http://tinyurl.com/6642nl to give me some mind fodder on the 1 hour commute home. Listening to it put me in a state of uneasiness along with feelings of the fraility of life.
Along life’s journey, trouble will come to us. So many times we sit on the other side of a statistic when in one second we could be on the wrong side and be one of the ones in whatever number to be impacted by some type of trouble.
Lately I have been trying to get my mind around my purpose in life in all the different parts I play or want to play. As a husband, a father, an employee, a scholar, an aspirer of different things, what should I be focused on so that when trouble comes it doesn’t deter me from dreaming. When we are young, we take risks because we don’t think about the trouble that may come, or don’t care about it. I would offer up, that as we are older we need to take risks as well because even if trouble will come wouldn’t we rather be living trying to be and do what we aspire to and love then performing the same things day in and day out and saying that someday I will do that, or some night soon I will have time to read to my kids, or someday I will lose weight and be who I am destined to be. Become your destiny now.
